Dekker leads Badgers past Marquette

MADISON (WITI)-- Sheboygan native, Sam Dekker was huge against Marquette Saturday, leading the Badgers to a 70-64 victory; the first time they've beat Buzz Williams and the Golden Eagles in 3 years.

Dekker picked up his 2nd double-double of his career putting up 20 pounds and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Marquette did put up a fight, the Golden Eagles only trailed 3 at the half and Jamil Wilson lead both teams in scoring with 22 points.  Davante Gardner also had a strong game with 16 off the bench.

The Badgers remain undefeated at 10-0. This is the 2nd best season start in Wisconsin history; during the 1993-94 season they started the season 11-0 under Stu Jackson.

Marquette will take on IUPUI next Saturday, December 14th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center at 2p.m. CT.  Wisconsin hosts UW Milwaukee Wednesday the 11th at the Kohl Center at 7 p.m. CT.
