Bucks legends Bridgeman and Abdul-Jabbar coming to Milw.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The rich and storied history of the Milwaukee Bucks will be on full display at the next two home games as the Bucks welcome back legendary players Junior Bridgeman and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Bridgeman will be on hand for Saturday’s matchup (March 1st) with the Brooklyn Nets (7:30 p.m. tip), while Abdul-Jabbar will make an appearance at Monday’s game (March 3rd) vs. Utah (7 p.m. tip).

Tickets for both games are still available and can be purchased online at www.bucks.com, in person at the BMO Harris Bradley Center ticket office, or via phone at 1-800-4-NBA-TIX.

Saturday is Junior Bridgeman bobblehead night, and all fans in attendance will receive this first-ever collectible of the franchise’s all-time leader in games played. A fixture in the Bucks lineup for much of the late ’70s and early ’80s, Bridgeman also ranks among the franchise’s all-time leaders in career points (7th), field goals (5th), offensive rebounds (10th), defensive rebounds (10th) and steals (T-9th). Bridgeman’s Bucks teams advanced to the postseason in eight of his 10 seasons with the club.

As part of his appearance at Saturday’s game, Bridgeman will sign autographs on the concourse from 6-6:30 p.m. for Bucks MVP ticket holders, and from 6:30-7 p.m. for all ticketholders. He will also be recognized for his many contributions to the Bucks organization on and off the court during the game.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the leading scorer in both Bucks and NBA history, will return to the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Monday night. Abdul-Jabbar, along with “Airplane!” co-star Robert Hays and directors David Zucker, Jerry Zucker and Jim Abrahams, recently joined forces with the Wisconsin Department of Tourism on its 2014 ad campaign. The new spot, which makes pop culture history by reuniting the two “Airplane!” stars with the film’s directors in the original movie set cockpit, will debut at the Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism earlier on Monday, and will also be screened in arena during Monday night’s Bucks game.

Approximately 1,000 members of Wisconsin’s tourism industry will convene in Lake Geneva for the annual Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism at the Grand Geneva Resort from March 2-4. On Monday morning, Governor Scott Walker will welcome attendees with remarks about the state of tourism in Wisconsin before Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett, along with the “Airplane!” stars and directors, debut the Department of Tourism’s new 2014 TV ad campaign. The Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism attracts innkeepers, restaurateurs, local tourism officials, attraction operators, state agency officials, tourism educators and other representatives of the hospitality industry. It is Wisconsin’s largest educational and networking event for the tourism industry.

As part of his appearance in Milwaukee Monday night, Abdul-Jabbar will also participate in a pregame event with Bucks MVP ticket holders at Turner Hall Restaurant and be recognized on-court during the game.
