Brewers VP of Comm. says Brewers Hank has found a forever home

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Some promising news on Thursday, March 6th for Brewers Hank! We're learning the stray dog that showed up at Brewers Spring Training at Maryvale Park is no longer a stray.

FOX6 News spoke with Tyler Barnes -- the VP of Communication with the Brewers.

Barnes says Hanks days as a stray are over, and he's guaranteed a home.

That's all he could say for now, but he promised information soon.

Also on Thursday, we learned Hank's Twitter account is back! @BrewersHank was suspended last weekend.

Hank came back to Twitter on Thursday with this message:

He even responded to news on FOX6 that he has found his forever home:

Hank has grown in popularity since he was discovered at Maryvale Park by the Brewers. He's become the team's "unofficial mascot."

Earlier this week, we brought you the news that Brew City Apparel is making Hank-themed T-shirts -- and we've learned two Milwaukee restaurants (Sobelmans and Pizza Man) will donate  $10 for every Brewers home run in the 2014 season to the Wisconsin Humane Society in Hank's honor.
