Brewers complete sweep of Giants with 7-2 victory

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers completed a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants with a 7-2 victory at Miller Park on Thursday, April 18th.

Brewers ace right-hander Yovani Gallardo was on the mound for the start -- fresh off his arrest for allegedly driving drunk in Milwaukee. But the set-back from earlier this week did not appear to affect his performance on the mound.

Gallardo struck out six batters, allowed five hits, one walk and one earned run in six innings. Gallardo also did some damage on the offensive side -- crushing a two-run homer into left center in the second inning.

Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy also homered for the Brewers.

The Brewers now get ready to take on the Chicago Cubs for a weekend series at Miller Park.
