Brewers 4 homers blast Astros

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers belted four homers in Tuesday night's (April 24th) 9-6 win over the Astros at Miller Park.  Because of their suddenly resurgent bats, Milwaukee can sweep the three-game series to conclude the nine-game homestand (5-3 so far) on Wednesday afternoon, April 25th.

Randy Wolf won his first game of the season with help from Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford (47th consecutive save) after the middle of the bullpen made things interesting.

Starting for first baseman Mat Gamel (sore shoulder), Travis Ishikawa smacked a two-run homer, his first since August 2010; Corey Hart ripped a two-run shot, Rickie Weeks sent out a three-run rocket, and Carlos Gomez added a solo homer.

The Astros, who have lost 11 in a row to the Brew Crew, cut an 8-3 deficit to 8-6 before K-Rod and Axford slammed the door shut.

As expected, Brewers starting pitcher Chris Narveson will undergo season-ending surgery for a torn rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder.
