Braun answers boos, carries Crew to 10-4 win

PHILADELPHIA-- Phillies fans had to wait until Tuesday to see their first game of the year at Citizens Bank Park and they were ready with some pent up boos for Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun.  However, the rightfielder responded with a monster game, saving two runs with a diving catch and then cracking three homers and driving in seven runs in a 10-4 Brewers victory.

The score was tied at 1 when Braun made his grab.  Because of the situation, he called that his most important contribution to the cause.  Blasting a three-run homer in the third, a solo shot in the fifth and another three-run homer in the eighth was pretty big, too.  They were the first homers of the season for Braun and his first since last May.

Kyle Lohse had to work very hard to get through five innings and qualify for the victory.  He is now 1 and 1 on the season.  Matt Garza will start Wednesday evening's game for Milwaukee.
