Beyond the Game: Brewers beat writer pens book on team
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Brewers beat writer Tom Haudricourt has been on the scene for almost three decades. When it comes to writing books on the team, he has been there, done that. However, when he was approached to author "100 Things Brewers Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die," and put them in order, Haudricourt thought it was a pitch he could handle.
Although, that didn't mean it was a cinch home run!
What intrigued the veteran scribe was that the book gave him a chance to reach out to the more "Johnny Come Lately" among those who help make up Brewers Nation.
As the writer points out, what is neat about "100 Things Brewers Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die" is the book needn't be read from cover to cover. It can be read in any order the reader chooses. It is not in chronological order, but in alleged order of importance.
Haudricourt says his favorite part about penning this book was traveling down Brewers memory lane.
