Aramis Ramirez will be back at third base for Brewers next season

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Veteran Aramis Ramirez will be back at third base for the Milwaukee Brewers next season.

Ramirez on Monday accepted the $14 million mutual option the Brewers exercised last Friday. Ramirez would have become a free agent had he declined the option.

The 36-year-old Ramirez is heading into his 18th major league season. He had completed a three-year, $36 million free-agent contract that included the mutual option.

Ramirez hit .285 with 15 home runs and 66 RBI in 133 games this past season.
