A game to forget; Brewers crushed at Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (WITI) -- Over the course of a 162 game schedule, every team in the majors is going to have some bad nights. The Brewers certainly had one Friday night in Pittsburgh. The Pirates pummeled their visitors, 15 to 5 at PNC Park.
Kyle Lohse came into the game on a seven game winning streak, but struggled right from the outset. He gave up two early runs and then a third on Andrew McCutcheon's solo homer. Milwaukee came back with two scores, which ordinarily would allow a strong veteran like Lohse to find his focus, but Pittsburgh came right back to score again.
Things got even worse in the sixth inning, when Lohse and Tyler Thornburg combined to allow 8 runs. All in all, it's a game to forget for the NL Central division leaders.
