"You're not going to be in Milwaukee anymore!" Stage gets set for "Wicked" at Marcus Center

MILWAUKEE -- A popular Broadway musical has arrived in Milwaukee.

13 trucks filled with sets, props and equipment for "Wicked" rolled into town on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Crews are working around the clock to get everything set up before the first show, set for Wednesday night at the Marcus Center.

It takes about 30 hours to rebuild and transform the stage for the show.

"It`s an $11 million production, so when you walk in to the theater and you see the dragon and you see the set in front of you, you know you`re going to go someplace. You`re not going to be in Milwaukee anymore. We`re transporting you to Oz," Steve Quinn, "Wicked" company manager said.

The show runs from November 4th through November 15th.

Then, crews have just five hours to tear everything down and pack up before moving onto their next city.
