Women held captive for more than a decade in Cleveland speak out again
CLEVELAND (WITI) -- Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus are speaking out again about the horror they endured while Ariel Castro held them captive in his home.
According to WJW, the two girls appeared on the Greta Van Susteren show on the Fox News Network. Berry and DeJesus recounted their story from beginning to end, how Castro started assaulting them on the very first day and how the attacked never stopped.
Describing in graphic detail how they were shackled day after day. The girls spoke of the release they felt on the day they escaped.
Berry and DeJesus have collaborated to tell their story in a newly released book called "Hope, A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland."
Berry, DeJesus and Michelle Knight were held captive by Ariel Castro for more than a decade. They managed to escape from his home in Cleveland on May 6th, 2013.
Michelle Knight released her book, "Finding Me," last year.
