Woman struck walking on Kenosha highway on life support

KENOSHA (WITI) -- 24-year-old Loretta Pollack of Milwaukee is on life support after being hit by a vehicle while she was walking on I-94 in Kenosha early Friday morning, June 7th.

Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers and Kenosha County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene at around 3:05 a.m. and performed CPR until Paris Fire and Rescue arrived and took over.

The victim's car was located several hours later in the pond outside Mars Cheese Castle.

The Kenosha Sheriff's Dive team searched the car for other possible victim's and evidence before pulling it from the water.

Pollack was taken by Flight for Life to Froedert Hospital in Wauwatosa where she remains at this time.

State Patrol is still investigating the cause of the accident. Surveillance videos are being requested from various businesses as well as the Statewide Traffic Operations Center that may serve as evidence of the events leading up to the incident.
