Wisconsin housing market rebounds to pre-recession levels

MILWAUKEE -- 2016 is on track to be the best year for Wisconsin's housing market since the recession.

Through the first half of the year, the Wisconsin Realtors Association says sales were up 5.5% compared to 2015.

The average time on the market is 86 days -- the lowest monthly count since August 2005.

Here in southeastern Wisconsin, nearly 14,000 homes were sold in the first half of the year -- about 800 more than the same time last year.
