Wisconsin DNR encourages disabled to get set for hunt
MADISON (AP) -- State wildlife officials are reminding disabled hunters to connect with landowners ahead of this October's special gun deer hunt.
The Department of Natural Resources allows participating landowners to host hunts for the disabled when temperatures are milder.
Landowners must submit lists of participating hunters to the DNR by Sept. 1. A list of landowners involved in the hunt is available on the DNR's website.
The hunt, now in its 22nd year, is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Oct. 6, and run through Monday, Oct. 14.
