Wis. Supreme Court: Bradley, Kloppenburg advance to general election

DELAFIELD -- Justice Rebecca Bradley and challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg advanced in the Wisconsin Supreme Court primary election on Tuesday, February 16th.

Bradley's opponents — Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg and Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Joe Donald — framed their campaigns as a push back against a conservative majority that they say has made rulings based on political agendas. The challengers say Bradley would further tip the court that direction. Bradley was appointed to a spot on the state Supreme Court by Gov. Scott Walker in October.

Kloppenburg's success gives her a chance to avenge a narrow loss to Justice David Prosser in 2011.

Voters will select the next justice April 5th.
