WIS 32 public information meeting scheduled in Racine Co.
RACINE CO. (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region is conducting a public information meeting Wednesday, May 29th to discuss improvements for WIS 32 in Racine County.
The improvements on WIS 32 will extend from Five Mile Road to one-half mile north of WIS 31 in the Village of Caledonia, a distance of about 1.7 miles.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Caledonia East Side Community Center, 6156 Douglas Avenue. The meeting will be held in an open house format. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the study on an individual basis.
The purpose of the project is to increase safety and improve the driving conditions on WIS 32 within the village of Caledonia. The project proposes to resurface the existing WIS 32 corridor along with improving intersections. Construction activities are anticipated to start in 2018.
All citizens with concerns that wish to assist in the development of this project are encouraged to attend and/or contact project personnel. Persons with an interest or knowledge about historical and archaeological resources in the project area are invited to share such information at the public information meeting.
