Wilbert Thomas found guilty in murder of Sandra Teichow

RACINE (WITI) -- Wilbert Thomas was found guilty in a Racine County courtroom in the 2010 murder of Sandra Teichow on Monday, June 24th.

Teichow was known for her good deeds; for handing out quarters to those in need at laundromats and on the street. Her body was found in a wooded area in Racine on October 14, 2010. Investigators believe she was beaten and strangled by Thomas.

Thomas faced multiple charges in connection with the case including first-degree intentional homicide, theft-movable property from a person or corpse, and bail jumping.

Thomas is expected back in court for a hearing on July 22nd. For now, he is being held without bond.
