All afternoon on Friday, September 25th the area around the BMO Harris Bradley Center has been bustling -- and the city becomes a bit country.
"We're lucky we got tickets for this," said Emma Becker, fan.
It is a concert 19-years in the making.
Melissa Houston
"It was amazing, the best concert I've ever seen," said Melissa Houston, fan.
The last time Garth Brooks made his way to Milwaukee was in 1996, and Melissa Houston was lucky enough to be there.
"I've been to a lot of concerts in 19 years and I've always compared them to this one," said Houston.
The country music star took some time off in 2001 to focus on family, but he came back just as big as ever.
"He's entertaining people because it's his passion," said Dave Holden, fan.
Fans love him for his showmanship.
"He puts a lot of feeling into his songs," said Holden.
His energy...
"He's a legend. We feel lucky to be here," said Becker.
And the memories he helps stir up.

"I used to rodeo and we used to listen to him going up and down the road," said Houston.
Brooks says he does it for the fans.
"I think what I want people to get out of the music is something they can share with other people. That's it," said Brooks.
And they sure do appreciate it.
Garth Brooks will be playing two shows on Saturday night, September 26th -- the first at 7:00 p.m., and the second at 10:30 p.m.
