Waukesha police search for suspects after shots fired

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- Waukesha police received numerous 911 calls from the 1500 block of Big Bend Road early Wednesday morning, July 3rd for reports of shots being fired.

Upon arrival, officers located multiple fired gun cartridges. Bullet casings and bullet holes were also discovered on scene, which are being processed by the Waukesha Police Criminal Evidence and Forensic Unit.

The area was locked down and an extensive search was conducted to locate possible victims and/or suspects.

At this time, police say it does not appear anyone has been injured.

Witnesses are describing subjects fleeing the scene in a white SUV and an older model four-door sedan.
