Watertown police investigating two weekend school burglaries

WATERTOWN -- Watertown police are investigating burglaries of two schools that occurred in the late evening to early morning hours of Friday, November 10th and Saturday, November 11th.

The first burglary occurred at Schurz Elementary School (1508 Neenah Street). 

Police say suspects broke a window and entered the school. While in the school, they forced their way into several offices, causing extensive damage. Police believe the only thing taken was a small amount of cash.

The second burglary occurred at Riverside Middle School (131 Hall Street). 

Police says suspects again entered through a window, and again got away with a small amount of cash.

Police say both incidents are believed to have been caused by the same suspects.
