Victim of fatal crash on CTH A near W. Union Ave. identified

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (WITI) -- The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of the bicycle vs. vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday, July 31st as 55-year-old Allen Redensek of Sheboygan.

It happened on County Highway A at W. Union Ave. in the Town of Sheboygan, and involved a bicyclist  and a 2001 Ford Focus.

Deputies determined that a 2001 Ford Focus was southbound on CTH A when it struck the  southbound bicyclist. The driver of the Ford was not injured in the crash.  He did receive a citation for Inattentive Driving.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash

Deputies from the Sheboygan Sheriff’s Office, along with Officer’s from Kohler Police Department, Town of Sheboygan First Responder’s, and Orange Cross Ambulance responded to the scene.

The bicyclist was deceased at the scene.
