Update: Three in custody, one sought after pursuit ends in crash in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE —  St. Francis police say a third suspect has been taken into custody following a pursuit that ended in a crash on S. Clement in Milwaukee on Sunday evening, July 19th. One person has yet to be apprehended.

Police say a total of four suspects, not five as previously thought, were in the vehicle. Police say they learned this after reviewing the video of the incident.

St. Francis police were involved in a pursuit of a vehicle involved in an armed robbery in Oak Creek on Saturday, around 2:00 p.m.

Police say the same vehicle was observed casing businesses in Cudahy prior to Sunday’s pursuit.

A St. Francis police officer noticed the vehicle headed northbound on I-794 from Cudahy, with multiple subjects inside.

The officer followed the vehicle until other St. Francis officers and officers from Cudahy were in the area.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle — and a short pursuit began.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into multiple parked cars in the 2800 block of S. Clement Avenue in Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the crash.

Two people were taken into custody and turned over to the Oak Creek Police Department for questioning in regards to the Saturday armed robbery. A third suspect was apprehended later Sunday night. One suspect is still being sought.

No one was injured during this incident.
