U.S. bankruptcy court approves sale of four YMCA branches

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A United States bankruptcy court in Milwaukee has approved a deal to sell four branches of the YMCA.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee wants to sell the four YMCA branches in nearby counties for a combined $9 million.

The YMCA of Central Waukesha County will buy the Wauwatosa, Menomonee Falls and Greenfield locations for a combined price of $7 million.

The YMCA in Port Washington will go to the West Bend YMCA for $2 million.

The money will be used to pay down debt in the organization's Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.
