Two Wisconsin companies sending products to Super Bowl

MILWAUKEE/JACKSON (WITI) -- The Green Bay Packers are not going to the Super Bowl, but some local "teams" are! A piece of Wisconsin will be on the field on Sunday -- as two Wisconsin companies make their mark on the big game.

The game is Sunday in New Jersey -- a big risk for the NFL, which usually chooses a warm-weather climate for the Super Bowl.

But have no fear! The cold weather experts in Wisconsin are working to make sure the game goes perfectly no matter the weather on Sunday.

In the midst of a brutal winter, business inside Douglas Dynamics in Milwaukee is awesome.

"Basically anywhere where it snows, that's where we will ship our product," Dan Lovy said.

Lovy gave FOX6 News a tour of the factory that churns out snow plows -- among other snow-related equipment.

"What we always say around here is keep the snow flying and we'll keep the product coming," Lovy said.

There is more great news for this company.

"We're proud to be able to put out some kind of product that is going to be used in the big show," Lovy said.

Milwaukee-made equipment is about to be seen inside MetLife Stadium for the Super Bowl!

"You can't buy that kind of exposure, you really can't," Jim Janik said.

Janik is the company's CEO -- and his company is not the only Wisconsin company helping out!

Bill Vogel, head of Spring Valley in Jackson, Wisconsin says his company was approached by the Packers 15 years ago for some help.

"We're in the most exciting business in the world.  We make fertilizer and ice melt. They needed something that would melt the ice in the stadium, protect the stadium," Vogel said.

Word has spread among the league. A couple years ago, the Eagles came calling.

"And now MetLife Stadium called us and said 'hey we need help, because we need the best stuff,'" Vogel said.

Truckload of de-icer have been shipped to New Jersey.

"When we got the order in and all the employees were real excited and it's like we're making this for the Super Bowl!" Vogel said.
