Two vehicles collide in West Bend, one man dies

WEST BEND (WITI) -- West Bend police are investigating a violent collision between two vehicles that happened on N. River Rd. on Monday afternoon, June 2nd.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old West Bend man driving north on River Rd. crossed into the southbound lane. His vehicle struck a southbound vehicle driven by a 16-year-old man.

Both drivers were taken to St Joseph’s Hospital. The 58-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The 61-year-old was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

There were no other occupants in the vehicles. The roadway was closed for several hours during the crash investigation.

The accident remains under investigation by the West Bend Police Department with the assistance of Wisconsin State Patrol.
