Two hurt after five-vehicle collision at Glendale intersection

GLENDALE --Two people were seriously hurt after a collision involving five vehicles and two separate accidents at a busy Glendale intersection Friday, June 15th.

The collision happened at Good Hope Rd. near Green Bay Ave. just after noon. A witness said a man going north on Green Bay west ran through the red light.

"When I saw that car spin around as much as it did and then hit, I actually saw his body fly, panic," Hugh Wilson said.

Doris Teat was in one of the cars involved in the crash. She also happens to be a nurse who jumped into action after the crash.

"There was really, no CPR, anything at that time that could be administered. At that point we just needed to have an ambulance at the scene," Teat said.

One of the victims was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital. The other was taken by ambulance.

All northbound lanes of Green Bay Ave. (Hwy. 57) were closed at Good Hope Rd. for several hours while investigators reconstructed the accident scene. Traffic was back to normal by late Friday afternoon.
