Trevor-Wilmot K-8 school closed Fri. due to stomach virus

KENOSHA COUNTY (WITI) -- The Trevor-Wilmot K-8 school in Kenosha County will be closed on Friday, November 8th due to an outbreak of what appears to be a stomach virus.

Officials say 74 out of 561 children were sent home on Thursday. Others became ill on the bus ride home, and District Administrator Dr. George Steffen said he expects the number of those ill to rise.

The school will be closed Friday as crews clean the school room-by-room.

The Kenosha County Health Department is trying to pinpoint the exact nature of the illness.
