Three arrested after short car chase in Whitefish Bay

WHITEFISH BAY -- Two vehicles led Whitefish Bay police on a chase through the village ending in accidents and three arrests. Officers initially received a call about an attempted theft of vehicle on the 5100 block of Diversey Blvd. around 11:14 a.m. Friday, March 30th.

A Whitefish Bay police officer spotted the vehicle a witness says was involved in the attempted theft, and another vehicle following it. Both vehicles spotted the officer and fled, leading officers on a brief chase. One vehicle lost control, hitting a parked car. The other vehicle ended up hitting a tree, fire hydrant and utility pole near Sheffield Ave. and Wilson Dr.

After the crashes all four suspects took off on foot, and police caught three of them. Police are still searching for the fourth suspect.
