Thomas sentenced to life in prison for Teichow murder

RACINE CO. (WITI) -- A Racine County judge sentenced 68-year-old Wilbert Thomas on Thursday, October 10th to life in prison without the chance for parole.

Thomas pleaded guilty in June for the 2010 murder of Sandra Teichow.

Teichow was known for her good deeds; for handing out quarters to those in need at laundromats and on the street. Her body was found in a wooded area in Racine on October 14, 2010. Investigators believe she was beaten and strangled by Thomas.
