State Fair's Superb Milk House moves, has a new sponsor

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- For 25 years, Herb's Superb Milk House has been a staple on the State Fair grounds, and this year, the Milk House has moved, and has a new sponsor!

This year, the Milk House is back at its original location on the south side, near Grandstand Avenue.

The Milk House offers five flavors of milk to choose from, including chocolate, root beer, strawberry, banana, and cherry vanilla, at just 25 cents a glass!

"Every year it's hit the Milk House and mix up a couple of concoctions of flavors and see what they like," one State Fair visitor told FOX6 News.

Herb's Superb Milk House continues to bring generations back for a cold, creamy glass of flavored milk.

"It hit the spot. Nice and cold on a warm day," Patrick Schuster said.

Schuster takes his sons, Dylan and Colin every year, but in 2013, the milk had a new location and partnership -- with the Milwaukee Bucks sponsoring it this year.

"Now we've got our own space. We've got interactive activities for kids. Fun photo opportunities. We've got some of our players, coaches, celebrities here," Milwaukee Bucks VP of Business Operations John Steinmiller said.

Steinmiller says he hopes when people move throughout the line at the Milk House, Bucks basketball will be on their minds.

"In terms of the great ticket values, we have the great opportunities to engage as part of the Bucks family," Steinmiller said.

For Jacob and Jackie Dubnicka, the Milk House provided a bit of competition -- a milk chugging contest!

"I win every year because I mean I just do it in like probably 30 seconds, 10 seconds for each cup which is pretty good," Jackie Dubnicka said.

As older brother Jacob accepted defeat, he said he was glad he consumed his protein before his daily workout.

"I guess I can't really run at the State Fair but I'm going to run later on today," Jacob Dubnicka said.

The man who started the Milk House, U.S. Senator Herb Kohl was also on hand on Day One of the Wisconsin State Fair -- shaking hands with customers.
