Speed, alcohol, weather were factors: One dead, one hurt in crash near Fond du Lac & Stark

MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin Department of Transportation closed all lanes of WIS 145 at W. Grantosa for a crash on Sunday evening, December 13th. Police say one person was killed, and one person was hurt in the crash.

Milwaukee police tell FOX6 News the crash has occurred near Fond du Lac and Stark Street -- just south of the WIS 145 exit ramp.

It happened around 5:30 p.m.

Police say a vehicle left the roadway and struck a traffic control signal support pole.

The driver, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger, a 28-year-old Milwaukee man, was pronounced dead at the scene. That person has been identified as Everette Mason.

The driver is in police custody. It is believed that speed, alcohol and weather are factors in this incident.
