Six people injured in head-on crash in Fontana; Illinois man arrested for OWI

FONTANA -- Fontana police say six people were injured in a crash involving two vehicles that occurred on Friday night, August 28th.

It happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 67 and Wild Duck Road.

Police say five people who were in a pickup truck were hurt when a southbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck their vehicle.

One passenger required extrication.

The driver and sole occupant of the southbound vehicle, a 22-year-old Illinois man, was also hurt in this head-on crash. He was treated and released -- and then arrested for OWI causing injury and operating a motor vehicle left of center.

He is being held at the Walworth County Jail.
