Sister says missing 22-year-old Karen Bias has been found

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- FOX6 News has learned missing 22-year-old Karen Bias has been found. Bias' sister has confirmed to FOX6 News Bias was found and is receiving proper medical attention.

Bias' sister told FOX6 News Bias' family received a phone call from a police officer indicating Bias was discovered out of state.

Bias was reported missing on December 13th.

The family was especially concerned in this case because Bias has spina bifida and is confined to a wheelchair.

According to the woman's sister, Bias was last seen on Thursday, December 12th at a home at 1511 W. Burleigh.

FOX6 News spoke with Bias' father, Kevin Arnett on Sunday. Just last month, Arnett met Bias, his daughter, for the very first time.

"She wanted to come and spend the holidays with us. She wanted to come meet my other daughters and get closer to me," Arnett said.

Arnett discovered his long-lost daughter online about two years ago, after he joined Facebook to take part in a FOX6  contest.

Arnett knew only his daughter's name, and searched for it -- finding Karen's Facebook page. He sent her a message, and Karen was thrilled.

"It was shocking. I was like, after 19 years of my life, that's amazing that I finally know who my daddy is," Bias told FOX6 News at the time.

The two started talking over the phone -- and then five weeks ago, Bias came to Milwaukee.

Family members say Bias planned to stay through Christmas, but on Thursday, December 12th, she disappeared from her half-sister's house.

"My daughter came home from work and she was missing," Arnett said.

We hope to learn additional details in this case soon. Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates.
