Shorewood police search for armed robbery suspect

SHOREWOOD (WITI) -- Shorewood police are seeking a male suspected in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Monday night, September 9th near the intersection of N. Maryland Avenue and E. Menulo Blvd. in Shorewood.

According to police, a male subject approached a woman walking in the area around 9:45 p.m. with a handgun and demanded her property. Officials say the suspect stole the victim's purse, phone and keys before fleeing the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his early to mid 20s, 6'02" to 6'03" tall, athletic build with cornrow-style braids.
