Sheboygan County: One dead, two others hurt following crash on WIS 23 near County Road TT
SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A 75-year-old woman has died and two other people are hurt following a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Wisconsin 23 westbound near County Road TT Friday afternoon, July 22nd.
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, an 81-year-old man from Sheboygan Falls, a 35-year-old woman from Plymouth, and a 75-year-old Sheboygan Falls woman were all transported to local hospitals.
Officials say the 75-year-old Sheboygan Falls woman was pronounced deceased at Saint Nicholas Hospital.
The 81-year-old man was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, with life-threatening injuries.
The 35-year-old Plymouth woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was diverted around the scene starting at Highway 32, for approximately two hours.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
The accident is under investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Team.
Sheriff's deputies were assisted by officers from Sheboygan Falls and Kohler Police Departments as well as Orange Cross Ambulance, Sheboygan County Highway Department, the Town of Sheboygan Falls first responders and the Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department.
Names of the people will be released on Saturday, July 23rd, pending family notification.
