Several communities in Kenosha County issue burn ban

KENOSHA CO. -- The towns of Somers and Paris and the villages of Bristol and Pleasant Prairie jointly ordered a burning ban in their municipalities on Monday, June 18th. That word comes from Somers Fire Chief Steve Krause.

Krause said the ban is effective "right now" and until further notice.

No open fires are allowed -- only cooking fires in a grill.

Krause attributed very dry conditions to the reason for the ban.
