Second-floor house fire near N. 51st and Fairmount displaces 16 people

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee officials responded to a fire on the second floor of a home near N. 51st and Fairmount Avenue Friday evening, June 10th.

According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the fire took place in the second floor kitchen of a two-story home.

A total of 16 people have been displaced due to this fire -- eight adults and eight children. They are now being assisted by the American Red Cross with shelter and other needs.

No one was injured in this fire.

The cause of this fire is unknown at this time.
