Sears store, auto center in Bayshore Town Center to close in early December
GLENDALE (WITI) -- The Sears store and Sears Auto Center located in the Bayshore Town Center will close to the public in early December.
The store will begin its liquidation sale on September 26th.
According to Sears Holdings, the closures are part of a series of actions the company is taking to reduce on-going expenses, adjust their asset base, and accelerate the transformation of their business model.
"These actions will better enable us to focus our investments on serving our customers and members through integrated retail – at the store, online and in the home," Howard Riefs the Director of Corporate Communications said.
The store and auto center have a combined 86 employees.
Those associates that are eligible will receive severance and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Sears or Kmart stores.
