Returning home from U.S. Army training, big brother surprises sisters at school

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- A soldiers homecoming was a big surprise to two girls in West Allis.

Cody Laliberte, of the U.S. Army, surprised his sisters at Mary Queen of Saints School in West Allis on Friday, December 19th.

He walked out during the school's afternoon prayer service as they were praying for the safe return of all military personnel.

Laliberte hasn't seen his sisters since September, something he doesn't take for granted.

"It's hard to believe I'm actually home now. I know I've only been at training and I know that there's soldiers, brave men and women out there that are not going to be home this Christmas season, and I truly am blessed to be home," said Laliberte.

Laliberte still has two more tours of training to go through.

After that he could get deployed overseas.
