"Rebuild this:" Racine couple known for giving back in need of community support after lightning destroys home
RACINE -- A Racine couple, known for their giving, positive nature, is now in need of some help from the community. A fundraiser will be held this weekend for Nate and Nina Olsen. Just a few days ago, they lost their home and possession when lightening struck.
You could call Nate Olsen the encourager. At his Racine gym, Mental Image CrossFit, his wife Nina is equally as positive.
"We created it so people would have that positive place to go," said Nina.

The Olsen's dream to create their gym began in the garage of their Racine home. Last Saturday, that home met catastrophe.
"I was sleeping on the couch, she shook me and woke me up. I said hey it kind of smells like smoke in here," said Nate.
Lightening struck their home and flames started shooting through the roof.
"I said, Nate, there's a fire engine that just pulled up in front of our house," said Nina.

"I asked my neighbor whose house is on fire and he said, 'it's your house,'" said Nate.
Nate and Nina grabbed their three dogs but most everything else was left behind.
"It's pretty much a total loss," said Nate.
"They just instilled in me and the rest of the CrossFit family that positivity can change your life," said Sara Benner, gym member.
The members at the gym got busy, put up a GoFundMe page, and planned a fundraiser.
"We've just been blessed and really thankful that so many people lend a hand and helped us get back on our feet," said Nate.
Now the lessons Nate and Nina Olsen teach at their gym, have come full circle.
"Once you start and get the ball rolling it's as easy as that," said Nate.
"We can rebuild this. We can get through this," said Nina.
The fundraiser will be this Sunday, July 31st at the Harbor Park CrossFit gym in Kenosha, from noon until 3:00 p.m.
There will be a charity workout, and a raffle.
