Racine student apprehended, allegedly passed around prescription meds



RACINE -- Racine police say a 14-year-old Starbuck Middle School student has been apprehended for allegedly passing around prescription medication to students at the school on Thursday, January 28th.

Officials were notified of this case around 1:40 p.m. Thursday. They say five students between the ages of 13 and 14 ingested the medication and were transported to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine.  Those students have been treated and released.

The type of medication passed around is unknown at this time.
