RACINE CO. (WITI) -- A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until noon Wednesday, February 27th for Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Ozaukee, Washington, Sheboygan, and Fond du Lac counties.
At this time, Racine County has received about eleven inches of snow. The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office reports 58 cars in ditches since 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 26th.
Roadways in Racine County are slush-covered and slick in some area -- and motorists are advised to drive with caution. The Racine County Sheriff's Office responded to 180 calls for service in which 77 were snow-related vehicle accidents or vehicles in the ditch. Several of the vehicle accidents resulted in minor injuries but the majority of the vehicle accidents were vehicle damage only.
