Pursuit in Sheboygan leads to crash and arrest on I-43 SB

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials say a 29-year-old Illinois man was involved in a pursuit with officials on Monday afternoon, November 4th.

Officials say the 29-year-old man from Chicago was wanted for bail jumping, failure to obey an officer and escape.

Officials say the man had previously fled from the Sheboygan County Courthouse on foot and later attempted to elude law enforcement in a motor vehicle in Sheboygan.

A Sheboygan County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop the vehicle on South Business Drive near Weeden Creek Road. He fled the officer before losing control and crashing on I-43 SB.

The man was taken into custody and treated for minor injuries.

Officials say the man will face several charges.
