Propane tanker truck tips over in ditch in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY (WITI) -- Jefferson County Sheriff's officials say a propane tanker truck ran off the road and tipped over in the ditch on County Highway C, west of Fort Atkinson.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 17th.

Sheriff's officials say the driver was able to get themselves out of the truck through a window.

Highway C was closed off between Kreutz Road and Trieloff Road.



An empty propane tanker truck is being dispatched to the scene to off-load the propane that is on board the truck in the ditch.

The Town of Cambridge Fire Department is on scene, and working to determine whether any homes in the area need to be evacuated.
