Potawatomi Hotel & Casino kicks off annual Heart of Canal Street charity program

MILWAUKEE --  Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Heart of Canal Street kicked off its 2015 program Wednesday, August 5th. The program serves area children by providing funds to local non-profits that provide basic services, engage young people in the arts, supplement educational growth and more.

The Heart of Canal Street program serves as the Casino’s signature community program, which has helped enhance and improve the lives of children and their families in southeastern Wisconsin for more than 20 years. Since 1994, the program has provided more than $14.6 million to hundreds of area charities.

FOX6's signature charity this year is the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation.

Ryan Daniels, the executive director of the foundation, joins Studio A with more details.
