Police: Two arrested, two sought after stolen vehicle hits squad

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police arrested two suspects after the stolen car the suspects were in hit an MPD squad car.

According to authorities, officers from District 4 were on patrol in the 8300 block of W. Florist Avenue at about 10 p.m. on September 22nd when they noticed a stolen car.

The officers attempted to stop the car when the occupants accelerated the vehicle and skidded to a rest in the 5800 block of N. 84th Street.

The stolen vehicle began to back up, striking the squad car before all four occupants inside the vehicle fled on foot.

Two male suspects, a 16-year-old and a 22-year-old, were taken into custody.

Police continue to search for the other two occupants of the car.

Both suspects that were taken into custody had tools on them including a hammer, screwdriver, and flashlight.

The 22-year-old suspect is a convicted felon with a 2012 drug conviction.

The charges against these two suspects will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
