Police: Suspect in custody after retail theft in Greendale, subsequent pursuit on I-43

GREENDALE --  Greenfield police say a suspect is in custody after a retail theft and subsequent pursuit on Thursday afternoon, June 25th.

The retail theft occurred in Greendale.

Police say the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle -- and he was pursued by police on I-43.

The suspect vehicle crashed shortly after entering I-43 -- crashing near I-43 and National Avenue. He then fled on foot.

The suspect was taken into custody about a mile away -- near 6th and Hayes.
