Police: Six home burglaries, one attempted burglary in Shorewood since December 28th

SHOREWOOD (WITI) -- Shorewood police tell FOX6 News they are investigating six burglaries and one attempted burglary involving homes in Shorewood occurring since December 28th.

Police believe these burglaries are most likely connected -- as the methods used by the suspect(s) and the items taken from the homes are similar in most of the cases.

Police don't know at this time who may be responsible for the burglaries.

The burglaries have been occurring while no one is home, and police believe the dark homes may be appealing to the suspect(s).

Police say they're stepping up patrols in an effort to apprehend those responsible for these burglaries and protect homeowners.
