Police investigating "suspicious" death of seven-month-old boy

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating the death of a seven-month-old boy -- a death they are calling suspicious.

Police say Deron Love Jr. died at the hospital on August 17th, as a result of blunt force trauma to his head.

Police believe the boy sustained the blunt force trauma to the head at a residence in the 3300 block of N. 28th Street on August 13th.

The boy's father, Deron Love is in custody and has been charged with physical abuse of a child, and child neglect via the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

An autopsy for the baby has been scheduled.
