Police investigate after passenger at Mitchell Intl. Airport dies

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation after a passenger at General Mitchell Airport died Wednesday night, January 8th.

According to police, General Mitchell Airport Operations notified the sheriff’s airport division of a medical emergency involving a passenger at a concourse around 10:55 p.m.

Police say medical personnel were attending to the subject at the scene, and the 41-year-old woman from New York was transported to the hospital.

The woman was pronounced dead at 2:05 a.m. at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Sheriff’s detectives are conducting the death investigation.
